Products

As soon as the categories and attributes are created, it is possible to proceed to the creation of products.

Create a product

In the menu “Shop” then “Products” it appears the list of products, to create a new product click on the button “Add”.

Input first part

Enter :

  • Name of the product
  • Short description
  • Description
  • Price excluding VAT (when leaving the field: recalculation of the TTC)
  • VAT (default 20%)
  • Price incl. VAT (when leaving the field: recalculation of the HT)
  • Minimum Quantity
  • Maximum Quantity
  • Default quantity, will be displayed in the consultation of the product’s file.
  • Min. increment of the quantity, can be useful if the product is sold by the kilo, and if you want for example to increase the quantity by 0.1 kilo, or 100 grams.
  • Number of decimals
  • Unit, e.g. kilo, piece, slice, kit etc.
  • Active
  • Categories
  • Attributes
To add an image to this product, click on the “Add Media” button. Enter a label and click on the “Choose a file” button to select the image. It is possible to install additional images by clicking the “Add Media” button again.
Then click on “Save”.

Input second part

If in the seizure of the first part it is assigned to the product one or more attributes, then it appears a new tab “Variations” in the sheet of this product. By clicking on it, appears the list of the possible combinations of the attributes of the product. Example: the product “John” has 2 attributes: “Size” (S, M, L, XL) and “Color” (Blue, Black). In the list of variations there will be 4×2=8 lines which will be “S and Blue”, “S and Black”, “M and Blue”, “M and Black” etc. Now you have to enter the data for each variation by clicking on the “+” button at the end of each line. By default, at the time of entry, the price previously indicated in the product’s file appears directly. Enter if necessary : 

  • Reference, for example the supplier’s reference
  • Price excluding VAT (when leaving the field: recalculation of the TTC)
  • VAT (default 20%)
  • Price incl. VAT (when leaving the field: recalculation of the HT)
  • Active
  • By default, if checked then it will be this variation which will appear by default when the product is displayed.
If you are happy with the image installed in the “first part capture”, then do not capture anything with the “Add Media” button. Otherwise install one or more other images. This is useful for example to see a “Blue Jeans” in one variation and a “Black Jeans” in another.
Then click on “Save”.
